On a flight to Japan AJ sits with a sad smile.
"It's been a tough week for me guys, the loss to Irvine, the fact that I'm heading into the last of Max Japan's story, and now the end of Lion's Road. Funny how things like this put it into perspective. A day ago I was wondering if Lion's Road still had a place for me. And now I'm at the end."
AJ seems a bit somber...
"It's a fitting end I guess, taking on the best and representing Lion's Road one last time. Starting with the Demon Brigade, and for once I actually understand how they feel. Watching your home burn to the ground through circumstances beyond your control. I guess now we fight to give our due to the dead...
... Both of our homes gone in an instant. Ordinarily I'd start shit talking and say I'm prepared for total dominance proving once and for all that Lion's Road is the dominant force in the world of Wrestling, but I'll give my due to the dead. I guess it will be my final tribute not just to Lion's Road, but to Max Japan as well. I know you boys in the Demon Brigade will never believe it, but I did love Max Japan. And since this is the final event of its lineage I look forward to sharing alongside you guys the ability to show what made Max Japan so great: the native born talents and the gaijin stealing the show and wowing the crowd each time."
The sad smile returns... with just a twinge of nostalgia.
"And of course the life long rivalry between Lion's Road and Max Japan. It's a fitting final volley in the rivalry. The Demon Brigade, the self appointed protectors of Max Japan, against the two men who best exemplify the evolution of Lion's Road. I'm proud to stand next to David Troy and represent Lion's Road one last time. David let's do this one last time, and finish the Demon Brigade once and for all."
And with that address out of the way AJ looks up at the ceiling
"I guess if this is the end, then New Years Eve is the memorial service, hosted by Wes Chubbman of all people. I find myself in a microcosm of my entire life in Wrestling. Utter chaos, for a boatload of money which frankly I'll need til' I find a new home promotion. I'm ready though, taking on all styles in Pro wrestling in one match. I'm not sure just what a Poker Scramble is but I'm always ready for a new test."
AJ laughs a little bit sadly.
"We're going to take off soon. So I've got to wrap this up now. My adventure here is at a close, and a new one's about to begin for me. I don't know when, I don't know where. But I'm ready to wrap this one up once and for all. I hope I left you guys with some worthwhile memories. And I want to leave you with a few more here at the end. It's not goodbye. So until we meet again: Stay golden..."
AJ gives a parting wink as he turns off the camera....
