For the first time in a very long time, Masanori Kawada felt embarrassed by a performance. So easily dealt with, forced to surrender to someone else's hold, so young into his MAX Japan career. It was not common for the Everlasting Hero to show his age. There is no doubt that some of the hype upon his debut has withered with such a sound defeat. Perhaps what is worse is how he intends to come back from such an event. These are the thoughts that cross his mind as a nurse is wrapping his upper chest in bandages, wrapping around his right shoulder. He was immediately sent to the hospital after complaining about chest pains following a stiff knee to the chest. Something had to be broken. That, or his heart is starting to feel the toll of years of pushing himself too far for it to handle. He didn't know for sure, but he was awaiting the news one way or the other. It felt like an eternity but finally, the doctor entered his office, carrying an envelope that contained his x-ray results. His doctors face was expressionless as he sat at his desk across from the Everlasting Hero, putting the envelope on the desk in front of him, his hands together over it. "Well, we have taken the x-rays and have tested for any signs of cardiac arrest or limb damage to your chest area. Sorry for the wait, Kawada-san." Kawada tried to stay stoic as he eyes the paper jacket that holds his immediate fate in its hands. "So, what damages am I looking at, doctor?" The doctor takes a deep breath, opening the envelope in front of him, holding the x-rays up to the light of the lamp for his patients better view. "Well, you have seemingly fractured a few ribs as well as a fracture to your sternum. Not good per say, but figuratively speaking you could have suffered a much worse injury. You will have some trouble sleeping at night from the pain but other than that, it's nothing that will hinder you from too much of your day to day life provided you take things easy." As the doctor had said, this was better than a more dreaded outcome. But it is still not favorable for the Absolute Justice. He speaks up. "Doctor, I am a professional wrestler. It is what I spend every waking moment working towards. So, I need you to tell me -- does this injury prevent me from competing?" The balding Japanese man starts rubbing a circle into his cranium as if he is already suffering from a headache, that or heavily contemplating the answer to Kawada's question. "As a doctor, I have to advise against the idea of getting into any form of contact sport that can worsen this injuries. I would say that it is risky and doing such a thing would only lead to a greater injury... that being said, you are not in bad enough condition for me to not clear you to, provided that you wear some supports and tape over your ribs and sternum to lessen the damage. Besides that, I would say you're good to go back to the ring in as soon as 3 days with the proper bed rest." A sigh of relief escapes the mouth of Kawada, looking back up to his doctor. "That can be arranged. I know it isn't the smartest idea to put my body in harms way at my age, but this is my passion. I have a life-long goal I wish to accomplish through MAX Japan, and I can't let a minor injury like this take the winds out of my sails so quickly into my tenure. I know you don't advise it doctor, but I will be stepping into the ring again in a few nights, then again, and again. I intend to be on every show for the rest of the tour fighting my heart out to get even a single step closer. Thank you, doctor." With those words, the Everlasting Hero stands up from his chair, shakes the hand of the doctor and the nurse before leaving his office, closing the door behind him.
