ATTACK OF THE CASTLE!
Day 3
9/21/2018
No on could have predicated how much the fans would come to love Lynx. The straight to the top Jr. Heavyweight Champion’s story was like that of myth, and the fans loved it. Lynx started the match with a clothesline attempt that was countered by Daichi and used to control most of the beginning of the match.
Daichi used a lot of strikes to wear down the newly crowned champion as the welts and bruises quickly formed on his body. But Lynx wasn’t ready to be pushed around by a mere rock and came back with a mix of high flying takedowns and suplexes that showed wear to his own body, but paid off in the end as the constant change from being on his feet to on his back slowly disoriented Daichi enough for Lynx to land a devastating Shining Yakuza Kick that put the Boulder down for the three count.
After such a wild start the fans were primed for the next match that seemed to be a MAX vs. Lion’s Road match…depending on where everyone though HAMMERSTIEN’ S loyalty lied. HAMMER and METAL seemed to debate the matter, while AJ was more than willing to let Seville start the battle. HAMMER would eventually push METAL into the corner and use the moment to rush Seville with a wild fury, it seemed The WALL grudge match would start the show.
HAMMER seemed to be possessed by the same wild gods as Mike Musket as he moved around the ring like a wild animal, refusing to show any kind of slack as he continuously assaulted Seville who struggled to mount a strong offensive as he was thrown into turnbuckles and powerslammed into the mat.
Eventually the wild fury would backfire, and Hammer would make the mistake of tossing Seville into his own corner where AJ would make the tag and come into the ring to battle his LR cohort. AJ had had time to learn HAMMER’s strategy for the night and would use the wild fury against the larger man by tricking him into situations. Slipping out of the turnbuckle, sliding over and under the ropes, at one point he even managed to take the big man down with a dropkick to the knee and transition into a sleeper hold that almost ended the match.
Seville, wanting to avenge his earlier performance would blind tag himself in while AJ would he delivering chops to HAMMER’s chest. Seville would impress the fans with his series of suplexes and ground control that seemed to mirror his “mentor” Irvine, that is until the Atomic Assassin would be tagged into the ring.
METAL wasted no time in unloading a barrage of kicks to the legs and midsection of Seville as Seville began to wane, Hero would come in for a running lariat, that would Seville would duck under causing Hero to hit AJ instead. Bouncing off the ropes and coming back in with a blind fury Seville nailed HERO with a low knee to the gut then set up HERO for a suplex. HERO however would be prepared for this tactic and hit Seville in the ribs with a stiff underhand, countering into a Kujira Blaster that landed Seville on his head with a sickening thud, giving HERO the three count.
Love was in the air when the Demon Brigade came out from the back as fans showered them with lotus blossoms, Lord Zenki would even give a young fan his entrance cape and a pat on the head, the Zealots all saluted in honor of such an action.
The Demon Brigade would mount a fast and ferocious offensive that caused the other team to slowly seem to break apart. The Demon’s would keep members of the other team on their side of the ring and make use of their lighter bodies to use quick tags to keep the older, more brawl styled wrestlers at bay.
At one point however, Mike Musket and Vegas would other be in the ring with Zenki and Zombie, caught in a wild rage Musket and Vegas would show that Memphis wrestling had more than just good barbecue and end up grounding both Zenki and Zombie in Camel Clutches.
Grim would come in for the save, being chased out of the ring by Vegas, who was forced back into his corner. Grim would return in enough time to have Zenki make him the legal man just as Musket would tag in Kawada.
Grim would take Kawada to the mat and seemed to gain the upper hand until Kawada managed to manhandle him with lariat that almost caused Grim to perform a 450 splash from the amount of force delivered. Upon stumbling to his feet Grim would he put down hard by Kawada’s Spear of Destiny for the three count.
Coming back from the break the fans would come to see a furious Hammerstein bouncing Matt Pulver’s head off the mat, yelling something about if MAX wanted to double book him he’d terminate half the talent in retaliation.
Pulver would eventually slip under the bottom ropes with Hammer in toe, dropping him to into the metal stairs with a drop toe hold. Troy and Danielson entered the ring in to the roar of the fans.
Troy and Danielson would stand toe to toe with one another on their feet, eventually Danielson would get the upper hand by taking the Troy to the mat. The fans would start a Pulver chant as the two men on the outside made it back to their feet, getting back on the apron.
As the ref made his way to check on Pulver and Hammer, Danielson got back on his feet, dragging Troy to his knees, receiving a low blow that caused the Seattle Pro star to buckle over in pain long enough for Troy to capitalize on the situation with a running soccer kick that mimicked the same sickening thud James Edward’s Violent Gospel produced. After the three count Troy would walk over with his King of Lion’s Title and taunt the GOAT until making his way to the back.
In our final match of the evening, both men would appear to be attempting to make an example out of the other. Irvine’s quickness and striking ability would delay the might of the mountain for a short while, but eventually Nakama would find his opening and unleashed a brutal running knee the sent Irvine spiraling back in time.
Retreating to the outside, Irvine would attempt to regain his breath only to be followed by Nakama who was looking to put the Veteran fighter away. Nakama would almost get his wish as he closed the gap between him and Irvine only to have Irvine turn around run up the metal stairs on the outside to land a flying Battle Cry that sent Nakama into the metal railing.
As both men got into the ring they were both greeted by the chants from the crowd, Nakama’s sporting homefield advantage. Irvine coaxed Nakama into a battle of fists, but the mountain had other ideas as he head butted the General of the WALL hard enough to spin the man around, hitting him with his patented Bridging German Suplex with the win.
After the match Nakama would exit the ring to the section of his Mountain Bros as they showered with what they claimed to be cans of “SHIMADA Juice”.
