Did you like the pacing of the show? -Yes! I loved the way it went up and down in length and intensity of matches, while steadily increasing the intensity of the longer matches. It whoed that you have put thought into it, and even though I didn't plan to read it all in one sitting, I did so because the flow just made it so easy.
Do you like the sport form rules? -Yes! As you can probably tell, I love the "graps" and I've always had a soft spot for varying match rules and stipulations to focus on showcasing certain styles and certain aspects of combat, so I'm all about this!
What about the twist at the end with Sano naming Vegas the #1 contender? Did you see that coming? -No. I actually didn't see it coming, even though I probably should have, with the staredown between him and Zenki. Either way it was a good way to build the match between the two, since the confrontation came very naturally and makes sense with the story that's been told so far. Looking forward to that one! Not sure how I feel about Saano coming out to announce it like that. Since he hasn't done that much before, it felt a little out of the blue. But it does makes sense with him seemingly taking a role more in the forefront with the duelling authority figures business, so I suspect it builds into that.
All-in-all a great show! Absolutely loved Gensai vs Musket, there's such a great built-in dynamic between them both from their similar catch-inspired styles and from Gensai being the Gaijin hunter and Musket being MAX-J's resident gaijin. I hope to see the two clash again many times!
Also, Super Mountain Bros throwing orange tennis balls at Brigade fans... god damn brilliant!

Did you like the pacing of the show?
I did enjoy this very much. The show was not only a breeze to read through, but adding the headers for each match is much easier on the eyes and looks better. That was a nice. All matches felt the right amount of length and time given.
Do you like the sport form rules?
I do and this adds a great wrinkle and some variety for matches. I'm a sucker for this kind of thing and I'm perfectly good with continuing it. Jun Vegas would be screwed in these types of matches which would be all the more fun to do, haha.
What about the twist at the end with Sano naming Vegas the #1 contender? Did you see that coming?
Yeah, that was pretty cool, haha. Definitely didn't see that coming. I've only been in Max-J for a couple months so to get a title shot was surprising, but made sense with the booking and being at odds with Demon Brigade from the jump helps give the title shot more justification.
Anything else also helps as we soldier on.
Not that I can think of. This was a fun project to do and I think came off very well for a one-off show. Congrats to Mike Musket for the big win and to Go Gensei, who already feels like a big damn deal in a short amount of time (including a HUGE win over J1 Summit winner Tokyo Zombie). FDJ also fits like a glove also and has been great. Some things I love:
-#BIGPEOPLECAN is great, as is ths duo of FDJ and Balloon. This should be a regular thing.
--Same with Gensei and Minamoto which is looking great so far.
--I didn't think of FDJ and Nakama as a team, but that is a BADASS team!
Questions from me: If I wanted to find another friend for Jun with one of the dojo guys, can that be a thing?
Fun show and really looking forward to the next set of shows.
The readable length of the shows while still being PACKED with fun story progressing angle bits is what drew me in to this fed. So for me, the pace and the way the shows are laid out is beyond perfect for the way I play.
I love stips and gimmick matches that are still just a wrestling match. The idea of brawler guys struggling and not being a "fit" would ALWAYS be a fun angle to play on should you bring the sport form rules back. Also helps they fit Gensai to a T. So, heh.
I also like that this is a Japanese style fed with some real angles going on. I dig the warring authority figures, the overarching native vs. gaijin feud with all its little branching tendrils. Good stuff.
- I could listen to FDJ mispronounce Japanese stuff all goddamn day. I mean, Yakazakka? Crazy funny. I dig hardline babyface Frank a LOT. He and Yamazaki give me Makabe/Honma vibes.
- Mike Musket might be the cleverest, funniest gimmick I've seen in a really long time. Holy shit.
- You've introduced and integrated all the new characters so well and given everybody substantive stuff to do. That's a real credit to this place.
- Damn excited for the next tour and beyond.

well first of all i appreciate the love gentlemen. i have a lot of fun with mike when i got recruited and it's good to be here.
i still think a musket vs fdj king o' the hillbilly match is somewhere on the offing haha. but in my book all y'all bring it. couldn't do mike right if there weren't so many damn good personalities around here, so this one goes out to all of us.
Go full on DDT with that shit, Musket vs. Frank like out in the goddamn woods on the mountain Mike lives on. Just a wild brawl through the trees and brush. lol
