Peace can always be found in the chaos. Tokyo Zombie watched it unfold all around him. They smash the jukebox to bits to his right making the sounds of carnage devoid of the gaudy western music. Stools lie broken in a growing heap in the middle of the room. Pictures are ripped from the walls. Some bottles of liquor are emptied onto the floor. The owner is brought to his knees pleasing his case ro anyone that would listen. The job is almost complete.
“This is Zombie work. I figured that I’d let some of the Demon Brigade Zealots know the lengths that we are willing to go through to spread our message. Some of them are here among mu select tribe right now doing some divine work. I figured they would want to let off some steam. The Festival of the Tiger was not one where I came out victorious. It may have been the set of rules, but there are no limits that can contain me. I am well versed in all types of matches.
“It may have been my opponent, but there is no man, be they foreign or not, that I can not conquer.
“It may have been fatigue, but it certainly was not a lack of will.”
The owner of the bar comes at Tokyo and begs for him to stop. Tokyo considers him, but he doesn’t respond. The man finally stops babbling, The room goes completely quiet as Tokyo prepares to speak.
“There are no excuses.”
Some Zombie initiates and a Zealot drag the man to a back room.
“There are no excuses in life. Only truth. The truth of this place is that it does not serve the purposes of this neighborhood well any longer. The truth of my run in that tournament is that I was not strong enough. I accept this. I am only a man with a big idea. Sometimes the drive to spread this idea leads me to victory. Sometimes I hit a brick wall. Now I head in another direction. It is one that I am very familiar with.”
Tokyo takes a stool from the piles, and sits in front of his group destroying the bar.
“I will fight next to my brothers in arms to try and defend our home from those that seek to topple us from our thrones. They randomly band together once again to try and find that combination. The unlucky few gamble to try to find the code to unlock the answer to the Demon Brigade. They act like we are the scourge. They act like we are the disease that they must burn out from the heart of Max Japan. Then this place will become their playground. Then they may frolic amongst the flowers of their false conquest. Little do they know that they will have a hard time planting their flag on this land. The land is tough, and The Demon Brigade protects it.”
The man yells out from the room. “I’ll pay! I’ll pay. Please!”
Tokyo Zombie blinks slowly then bows his head in silent prayer. He raises his hand, and the storm around him stops.
“We will not grow so weak that we abandon our mission. Three Kingdoms will see us defending our name against the so called MDF. More importantly, we will defend our titles. We are tried and tested. We are record breakers. We are the standard. We are world eaters. Anything that comes against is will be changed for the better. The Max Defense Force will see the futility of their fight, and regroup to see things our way. Yet another team will advance, and make themselves stronger to match us.”
A man in a white uniform brings Tokyo an envelope with a big bundle in it. He waves it at the space.
“Now this place will be remade in an image that is beneficial for the people. This is our mission, and the positive effect we have. I share this Zombie image with my brothers. Together we make Max Japan better in the same way. After each battle they learn. More come to our side. The influence spreads. The Way always wins. We will meet you at Three Kingdoms for battle.”
Tokyo Zombie walks out nonchalantly followed by his followers.
