“Followers of Thunder and Light, mighty Zealots of the Demon Brigade, our Lord thanks you for your continued support, we have cleaned our federation of the Lion’s Road filth while protecting it’s golden prize from being tarnished again by their hands. This has been a good year, under the sign of the dog, and like the dog we have all shown great loyalty.”
Her face becomes drenched in rage.
“But now there is another dog, one of rabid deceit and unwarranted glory, divided internally into two halves, one of sickness and the other of holy japan. He chooses to let his sickness overtake him. That poisonous wretch is Jun Vegas, a man who should be allowed to live up to his name and be outlawed from Japan.”
The usually reserved and prideful Zealots’ heads all remain lowered, overtaken by the looming feeling of doom that surrounds them. Outside of the circle Zenki stands a few paces in front of them before the entrance of the evil forest. Slowly he lowers himself to his knees as if in prayer.
“But our mighty Lord does not fear this new comer. Nor does he hate him for his place of birth or contaminated blood that pumps through his veins. He instead mourns the slow suicide of his Japanese spirit as he allows himself to be overtaken by the pleasures of the American demons. He is deeply troubled by the fate of the challenger who chooses to adorn himself prematurely in worthless material pleasures of gold and robing two women, of heavenly Japanese beauty, of all their worth through his thoughtless objectification. They are worth no more to him than the betting chips he has laid on the table.”
Above them the storm clouds begin to roll across the sky, flashes of lighting illuminate even the darkest corners of the forest before them as thunder shakes their bodies of fear and doom like war drums calling out to their hero Lord Zenki.
“Vegas dares to call out Lord Zenki. Call us nothing more than a cult as he spews his poison into the hearts of our once faithful Osaka crowd. He dares to call our master nothing more than a man, attempts to deny the Demon Child of is divine birth and glory. Does he not understand the fear that should be overtaking him if that is true? If the demon is nothing more than a man, how dangerous is a man that can purge our nation of Gaijin filth, free our federation from the reign of the heartless lion and establish his dominance by lifting a mountain! If our Lord is a mere mortal capable of such feats what threat should he fear from a man who must rely on Lady Luck for favor and victory?”
Around them the air begins to howl, screaming of hundreds of lost souls begging for release. The shadows begin to take shape of spirits deformed by despair. They move among the trees so drenched in darkness they seem to pour from the trees. They move towards Zenki as his form begins to smoke, the cloak around him transforming into flame as it flows from him.
The spirits lunge in an attempt to overtake him as his form ignites in flames, dispersing all the spirits, leaving a charred ground where he once stood. Chiaki steps out from the circle of Zealots as they stand in bewilderment. Her white robes collecting ash as she stands where Zenki once did. Behind her are signs with numbers for help, encourage, and warnings.
“We have come here to Aokigahara Forest so that Lord Zenki can experience to true depth of human despair. To understand the darkest reaches of our mortal souls not so that he can liberate himself from it. When Lord Zenki forces Jun Vegas into submission on the fifteenth, the amount of sheer despair that will overtake him will be unimaginable. So our Lord made the trip here, to the Suicide Forest, so that he might learn how to save Vegas from making the same trip later.”
