Guys,
I’ve had my nose to the dirt trying to sniff out what the Hell Chikashi Enatsu has up his sleeves. I’ve lurked around the corners of MAX-J headquarters in downtown Tokyo. I’ve followed Competition Committee Chairman Rokurou Murakami down to his car in the parking deck. I thought I was sitting in a stall next to GM Masaaki Sano, but well, I was wrong. And it got awkward.
NEVERTHELESS… I’ve got breaking news for you.
- I’ve got a credible report that on 11/12, just nine days after his last defense, that Lynx will attempt a V3 defense of the MAX Junior Heavyweight Championship against the Demon Brigade’s Tokyo Zombie. As you know, Zombie won the J1 SUMMIT back in August yet hasn’t taken his shot for the Heavyweight title because stablemate ZENKI is the current champion. GM Sano has apparently been trying to work out a way to reward Zombie for his high performance and desperately wanted to make this happen. With rare agreement between Enatsu and Sano, the two men came together and agreed to book the match. This will be the toughest match to date for Lynx, the current junior heavyweight champ, as he will have to contend with Zombie, one of the most decorated fighters in MJPW’s history, as well as the massive fanbase of the Demon Brigade.
- Have you wondered where METAL HERO has been? Well, he’s been recovering from injury and is currently doing a rehab stint in another promotion as he prepares for the Sword of Lite Grand Prix. Fans of Japanese pro-wrestling may know of a small promotion SHINING SEKAI (Shining World) Pro-Wrestling, formerly known as Shining Road. MAX-J has a history of working with this promotion in its effort to spread its influence throughout Japan in harmony and cooperation with other companies. METAL HERO, who wrestled in SSPW before jumping over to us, has been an officially designee of MAX, competing in the promotion, fighting on 11/1 and 11/4, at two TV tapings in Yokohama.
Well, GRIM and Daichi Kusumoto have officially joined him. They competed on 11/4, both men showing up victorious in their debut. It’s unclear how long the two men will compete there and there are no restrictions on their ability to participate on MAX. Kusumoto is currently undergoing a “transformational rebirth” to elevate his skills while it’s rumored that GRIM is hoping to “raise an army of the undead”. As a part of our coverage of MJPW, we will be sure to report any relevant goings on in SSPW that affect MAX-J.
Until next time friends!
