I’ll put things simply. We have two announcements and two requests.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
MAX-J will be going on hiatus after the 12/23 show.
Since August 2017 when Kev got this idea kicked off, then to November of that year when Irv and I started helping out, and then to July 2018 when we branched out onto this forum, you guys have helped us tell a great story that came together all in an organic way.
You guys rock. We hope we did right by everyone (that was always our intent and goal) and gave you guys a nice story to read.
But as of late it’s become a bit of a time sink as we try to tell the story we’d like. Moreover, given all the crossover with our sister fed, Lion’s Road Pro-Wrestling, running two separate feds with such significant overlap becomes an inefficient use of our resources. Therefore, we are joining forces, so to speak.
"Joining forces", more specifically means two things...

(1) Lion's Road Pro-Wrestling's format is largely going to resemble what we've done here.
The details are still being exactly ironed out, but expect a lot of similarity. So, if you like how this place is run, we HIGHLY recommend you join Lion's Road (the kayfabe story will help you here; stay tuned).
(2) We (read: Irv and I) will also run a (semi)quarterly show on the L.R. forums.
Basically, you can expect that 3-4 times a year we'll run a show. This project will be something of a side-story to Lion's Road Pro-Wrestling. If you remember NJPW's LOCK-UP and WrestleLand brands from the mid-2000s, it will look something like that but with Lion's Road in the role of NJPW. It'll be a kinda funkier and off-beat enterprise (carrying on in the same spirit we have here, in a sense).
Logistically, we'll be a sub-forum there (kinda like how MAX-J used to be). We're basically gonna draw upon the L.R. roster, though of course if you want to participate as an outside character, you'd be welcome.
The first show will be on 12/31. And it will take place in Japan.
REQUESTS:
(1) Please post for 12/23. The last RP period will follow directly after SOL GP (we'll have an official card announcement on the scheduling board).

(2) Let us know if you want to be a part of 12/31 AND be on the L.R. forums more generally.
