He sits in the missile silo cross-legged in meditation. The jet-black warrior, his obsidian helm obscuring his gaze, remains perfectly still. It is dark, empty. A hangar without wings, a barracks without soldiers. It feels strange.
The great warrior raises an open, gloved palm.
He lowers the hand back across his thigh into the meditative posture.
His helm slowly turns to the side, as though glancing away.
He turns the helm back to the camera.
He pauses as though reflecting upon a great and weighty consideration.
Lo, that I labored such that the beasts which dwell in these halls should slumber into the aeons. The injures I have endured, the suffering put to my back, the wracking hell of the battle into which I poured my body and mind.
The great warrior raises an open, gloved palm.
A child passes along a flower to a soldier. Lovers promise forever. The ephemeral and the eternal, all in the same. It lives only because it dies, and it dies only because it dared to live. Swords into ploughshares, ploughshares into swords, and back again. There are aeons which beckon the HERO and others which demand him no more.
He lowers the hand back across his thigh into the meditative posture.
It appears that MAXIMUM Japan will meet its formal end in a matter of days. When I stepped foot into this arena, I sought to find the ultimate competitors.
I battled with Matt Pulver, the world’s top junior heavyweight warrior, and pinned victory to my name. I fastened the World Junior Heavyweight Championship around my waist and restored glory to this nation, to this planet, to the universe in which we play out our lives.

His helm slowly turns to the side, as though glancing away.
And then I encountered the new warrior. The mysterious, the enigmatic, the fighter named Lynx who lives upon the edge, the dystopian vortex between heaven and hell, between sun and fire. It was he who ended my reign. And though I righted my defeat and restored honor to my name under the sport form rules, and though I am proud of my reign, I lament that I never challenged again for the Junior Heavyweight Championship…
He turns the helm back to the camera.
Lynx, you remain the better warrior. And you face the challenge of Sen Oka, the vicious fighter who cut through me and my mission to face you once again. This villain threatens to destroy pro-wrestling! Do not take him lightly, for his battle power is strong. I regret that I did not implement the proper strategy to defeat him.
I call upon you, Lynx: draw out the greatest strength, the mightiest power, to end this menace! My battle on the card against Toyama-san, my final battle in MAXIMUM JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING, I will show that MY pro-wrestling is strongest. Surpass me! The honor of the world’s greatest Junior Heavyweight Championship must endure!

And if not…
Suddenly red emergency lights begin to flash and swirl. Alarms howl. Above him, the doors of the silo groan as sunlight pours down and bathe the great METAL HERO in its brilliant illumination. The floor trembles and quakes but our HERO remains still.
Scientists in lab-coats, soldiers in their fatigues, all scatter and pour into the silo...
"What have you done? Stop! Stop! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE??"
But the world's greatest HERO remains fixed in his meditative posture, an anchor against the chaos.
And if not…
I will ensure that nothing endures!
I will ensure that nothing endures!
