Music filled the ambiance of a room, and it came from the wooden guitar where Chris Ravenna plucked its strings like a skilled musician. He observed the light shined from the window showing the view of neighboring buildings and streets in Seoul. The rendition he was playing was a folk love song entitled, “Himig ng Pag-ibig” (translated as Hymn of Love). He imagined that a voice of his motherland sang its lyrics while he accompanied with his guitar.
Meanwhile, he pondered the period of Blitz Pacifica tour that he will spend especially on January 21. The first thing he meditated over was his transformation since his return on October 21, 2018. He couldn’t believe that a lot of his personality changed as time passes. At first, he was a weak and klutzy wrestler but a loving and matured person. Now, he is a short-tempered good-for-nothing husband of his Japanese wife. However, he was passionate, brave and well-disciplined Filipino patriot. And he thanked Lolo Tasyo, Chris' trainer for his influence.
Ravenna found the books that Lolo Tasyo wrote inspiring. It detailed the history of his country, and their heroes toiled and sacrificed their dear life for the sake of independence, for Inang Bayan (Motherland). Ravenna read only two of them so far while attempted to grasp the lessons came from them. General Luna made an impact on Ravenna’s wrestling career. If Luna didn’t teach Chris the importance of discipline, Ravenna would be the same limp and weak degenerate. Sakay’s account showed him that portrayals perceived by the crowd shouldn’t matter, but it’s about the cause. Chris Ravenna began to scoff off everything that bothers him: whether Sakuya, his wife going to hate him for leaving her or the people would boo at him for his “infamous incident” or showing disrespect to his opponent. His objective was clear to him: to bring honor to Inang Bayan and win the championship.
Now he shifted his thoughts to the opponents he’s facing in the duration of the tour. Tonight he’ll team up with Bam Markham and Genji Ikeda to fend off against Jacob Hammerstein, Eron Hunter, and Thunder Mask. The problem for Chris is that he wasn’t familiar with his teammates. But one thing that discipline taught him was cooperation. He reminded himself to be a team player but never to be naïve. As for his opponent, he knew Jacob Hammerstein and Eron Hunter very well. Chris clashed with Hammerstein before in an event at Dublin, Ireland.
As for Eron Hunter known as Lynx, Ravenna never left his sight on him. Ravenna remembered the lesson he learned from his match against the World Warrior. Chris challenged Lynx because the title that he was holding would bring the reputation of the Philippines back to its former luster. Ravenna’s bout on January 21st would be a highlight of his career. Ravenna and Hunter will fight not for money nor fame nor prestige, but for principles.
One thing for sure is that Lynx no longer facing the previous “Chris”, the one who called him a “man had truly too much on his plate”. That whom Ravenna called it “Chris Eno” was dead. He was reborn just like Lynx as the patriotic, disciplined and focused. His wrist was the proof of his transformation for it was filled with bruises, scars, and marks coming from the hours of intense training. He knew that he can surpass him and will face James Edwards for the title defense on 23rd.
Some images came in Ravenna's mind, the ones dear to his heart.
The music stopped, and he opened his eyes. Later, he left the room wearing the attire that resembled his biological father who died for Inang Bayan. He finally met with Isidra, Paco and Lolo Tasyo.
“Nasaan ang rebulto ni Sto. Nino?” (Where’s the image of Sto. Nino?)
They showed the path to the clothed idol. In its presence, Chris and the others kneel and bow their heads praying to God. They asked to help Chris in his upcoming matches.
“Amen.”

The friends he called as comrades.
The legacy of fallen heroes like Luna and Sakay.
The insignia that his dear friend created for him.
The view of Laguna’s mountain range.
Inang Bayan.
