On 9 February 2019, MAX-J launched its worldwide super-tour known as TOUKON ROAD. An over two-hundred day journey, GM Masaaki Sano said that this would be "a pro-wrestling marathon" like no other. To recognize the fighters, he proclaimed that the fighter who accumulated the most falls (i.e. pin, submit, TKO, or referee/corner stoppage an opponent) during the super-tour would be declared the super-tour MVP and receive the TOUKON Cup.
Scoring System
Tag matches = +1
Singles matches = +2
Title defenses = Tag/single + 1
Title change/Tournament win = Tag/single + 2
The number of points is identified in brackets, e.g. [4]
"TOUKON Ranking" System
Only the Top 10 fighters in terms of falls are considered "ranked". A ranked fighter is seen as more of a title contender and will more often receive opportunities to challenge for the top belts (though title challenges are not exclusively meant for them).
Tie-breakers are determined by win-loss records - beginning with total and then, if still tied, moving to singles - identified in parentheses in the following manner:
(total wins - total losses, singles wins - singles losses)
