((Sorry guys for missing this deadline but I needed to get one in))
Tokyo Zombie sits under a waterfall near the base of Mount Fuji. His back is straight as the cascade of water showers down with some force over his body. The white foaming torrent hides his crossed legs under the pool where the water lands. The pool is surrounded by a clearing of grass and vegetation. The clearing is peaceful as forest creatures roam around and dig in the ground looking for food. Butterflies hover in the air and birds fly through the air. The noise of the waterfall is only broken by the deeper rumble of Tokyo’s chanting a mantra. As he chants a tribute to the Lotus Sutra his voice echoes back at him throughout the clearing making it sound like a whole group of monks is chanting along with him. This helps him focus even more and forget the forces pushing him down.
:Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō.”
As he chants a voiceover starts over the footage as the camera gets closer to Tokyo under the waterfall.
“As Max Japan embarks on its tour outside of Japan I am sure that the whole roster is ecstatic with anticipation. For most, it means a return to familiarity. The Western world for all its obsessions and excesses will seem like a second home. More so than that of Japan that these men claim as theirs.
For me, this tour is a problem.”
The chanting stops as Tokyo falters and leans forward as the weight of the water wears him down and threatens to pin him down into the natural pool. He stops continues the chant in a frenzied tone until he regains his breath and calms down. He rises up slowly but surely until his back is straight again. The chanting continues along with the voiceover.
“Japan has been my sanctuary for a very long time as I shunned the outer powers and sent off my students, my family, out into the world to conquer in my name. They have made a name for themselves and spread the Zombie ethos across the world. I watch from my home, from Japan, as I focused on conquering Max Japan with my allies in The Demon Brigade. It has been so long since I have taken to the air for so long a distance. I will need to venture away from the land that gives me my reason for being. I started this journey for Max Japan to protect its shores. Now I will need to venture out to do so.”
Tokyo begins to stand as the chants slow down.
“Yet I will travel with no fear in my heart for I know that Japan will travel with me. I call on the expats out there to show up and support their warriors. For the next time that I go into battle, it will be on foreign soil. I will be a stranger in a strange land and the seeds of our influence will turn our people’s hearts and encourage them to stay true to themselves. The Demon Brigade’s path back to the top of Max Japan will begin outside of our land. This will lead to a glorious homecoming when we return with our glory intact. My trepidation will seep out and be replaced with determination. A ring is a ring no matter where it is placed and I am still Tokyo Zombie.”
Tokyo stands up fully and raises his shoulders to hold his arms out.
“I am still the same man that once put fear into the hearts of the tag team division with my partner, GRIM. I am still the man that gave Zenki his biggest challenge yet. I am the savior of Max Japan and I will not be denied my due.”
Tokyo opens his white eyes and steps out of the waterfall as the echoes of the chant die out. He breaths out in a big roar as the shot cuts out.
