It was nighttime, and multitudes of people gathered together to see the spectacular show in MAX-JAPAN – Day 5 of EUROPA RUSH! Meanwhile, in a motorhome, Chris was in his desk in solitude. It assumed that Max, Anthony, Lolo Tasyo, Isidra, and Paco were on outside exploring some tourist spots in Paris. While they were enjoying and having fun, Chris was in low spirits.
It was a fact that he lost his championship belt against James Edwards at Day 3, but he accepted it viewing it as God’s will for Chris to teach a lesson regarding his arrogance. He walked out defeated in his tag match with Falcon Hamada against Toru Ishii and Shinjiro Nakama at Day 4. But he heard some of the praises for him for being a fearless competitor. There was something that made him sorrow other than his losses at MAX-JAPAN.
On his hand at the top of the wooden desk, there was a letter that Chris was folding into three. As he put it aside, he picked another – it was divorce papers! He doubled it over and packed it on the envelope along with the letter. Chris licked the edges of the top fold melting its glue and sealed it. The mail was good to go for delivery. But then, he looked at it closely and asked himself, how could it make this happen?
Before his third match last year against Apex Onyx in an American promotion, he remembered very well of his insecurities. But then his Japanese wife, Sakuya Shizuka strengthened him to fight him with courage and sheer will. In response, the “Apex” trashed talk about him and stated he was so much disgrace to his wife that she would find another man. Though he defeated Apex on December 3rd, it already planted the seeds of misfortune.
A few days later, Sakuya was forced to go back to Hokkaido to see her ill father. She discovered that her father was diagnosed with cancer on November 28. However, the couple reunited on the Christmas Day celebrating Holidays there. But little did Chris know that his happy days are about to change.
On January 2, 2019, the Household Dungeon and some locals in Salem, Utah turned against him for his lack of responsibility. It resulted for a match against Nikki Vaughn where the stipulation was he would be exiled from Salem, Utah if he loses which he did. The loss of Chris’ and Sakuya’s residence was a decisive factor for her brother to demand Chris for a divorce. It was but a heavy blow for him, so he respected the brother’s decision for good.
There were times Chris longed for her encouraging words, her warming hug, and her tender kiss. He missed Sakuya so much that he pondered over his decision whether to keep his vow to Sakuya’s brothers to stay away from her life or to fight for their love. However, it seemed to be too late.
On March 18th, Chris arrived in Japan to sign up with another Japanese promotion to partake a contest which opened to all wrestlers. Then he went to Hokkaido to see how's Sakuya doing. At that point, Chris realized that he regretted his decision. Chris saw that his wife became a cute maid for many Japanese boys. A modest and gentle maiden has transformed into a flamboyant and cute-dressed maid to capture the hearts of Otaku fans. She became the girl they have fantasized. For Chris, it was a horror in disguise. He did not believe what he just witnessed. “My wife became a prostitute,” Chris thought. Now his heart was filled with hatred and jealousy. So he left off without even a word. Not even his shadow showed in Sakuya's presence.
As hours passed by, his anger subsided, and he realized something. He thought that Sakuya had no option. She had to do this to support her college education and to help her father. The damage has occurred, and it was beyond repair. And now Chris has the item to cut his ties with his now-former wife, Sakuya for good.
Chris was struggling to fight his sorrow for his upcoming match.

“Chris?”
"Max, there you are!” Ravenna caught him in sight. They founded themselves on the backstage of the arena. Max reminded him, “I supposed that there is something important you want to say.”
“Yes, and it’s embarrassing to make request for a rich guy like you,” Ravenna looked down knowing his place in front of a man with a higher position.
“Nonsense!” Eldritch replied. “You are my little sister’s best friend. Hers is mine as well.”
“Thank you.” Chris nodded like they’re both in good terms. Ravenna assured him that Max has the power to decline it. Max Eldritch is a rich man after all. Chris began to tell about his first request but wasn’t sure if he can say it right. So he decided that this should be between him and Max. So Ravenna whispered his wish through his ear. Max was not pleased.
“What do you mean by that?” Max protested like his wish is very unacceptable. “Is it because of your defeat against James Edwards?”
Chris didn’t move a muscle as if he didn’t want to say anything at all. Max responded, “Let’s discuss this further later.”
“Oh, and one last thing,” Ravenna interrupted, and he grabbed something out from his pocket. He handed a folded thick envelope to Max Eldritch. Chris explained, “Can you go to Hokkaido, Japan and find Sakuya? Please give this to her.”
Max was tempted to know what’s inside that envelope. However, Ravenna stopped him. “Don’t! That letter should only read by her and her alone.” As much as Max's curiosity went high, he was decided to respect it.
Max then picked that envelope and placed it on his pocket for safe keeping. Suddenly, Anthony rushed in calling for Chris and Max. The show in MAX-Japan is about to start.
