TOUKON ROAD SIDE STORY: MOLECULE Vol. 1
3/30/2019
Vienna, Austria
Fans in Vienna today got a masterpiece in the main event tonight between GRIM and Jacob Hammerstein. The match would spend a lot of time on the outside since the grudge match rules mean that we must have a winner. The Demon Brigade zealots were out in full force for this one, having purchased virtually all of the ringside seats and pestering the American Monster at every turn. After Hammer reversed a piledriver attempt into a back body drop, the zealots halted Hammer’s momentum by throwing plush ZENKI dolls in the way of Hammer so that GRIM had the time to crawl away and escape.
Even when the match was in the ring, we got a bloody fiesta as the two men brawled it out with GRIM’s roundhouse kicks to the chest, shinguards slapping against the sternum while Hammer’s elbows to GRIM’s chin seemed to clap throughout the arena. GRIM would attempt a rear naked choke but Hammer would toss him over and apply his Python sleeper! The two men would roll to the outside as Hammer kept the hold locked in tight. But he would have to break the hold on the outside because he could not get a submission from that point.
When Hammer would get GRIM up to his feet and try to run him back into the ring, GRIM got a burst of energy but Hammer batted him back with chops to the chest. But GRIM reversed it into a Fujiwara armbar… and pulled out a pair of handcuffs, handcuffing Hammer to the guardrail! GRIM would dive under the bottom rope and allow the referee to begin the count. Hammer would struggle but be unable to break free and the clever but deceitful GRIM would win the match by count-out. No doubt not settling the feud between these two, but still yet enabling GRIM to move onto 3/31 to face Shinjiro Nakama for the MAX Royal Road Championship.
Chris Ravenna and AJ would put on a technical wrestling clinic which some fans thought was a sport form rules match given how many strikes and submissions were implemented. AJ’s superkick was reversed into an Achilles tendon hold and this would damage the Millennial Knight for the rest of the match. AJ would get the momentum going eventually, reigning down open-hand palm strikes while caught in Ravenna’s full guard, but he would get caught with a cross armbreaker and be forced to tapout.
In tag team action, MAX Heavyweight Champion Frank Dylan James and Go Gensai returned to their winning ways, but in more of an upset we would finally see Falcon Hamada score a fall on the tour after aligning himself with the Demon Brigade, teaming with Tokyo Zombie. Hamada was quite emotional after the win, also using a cross armbreaker, this time on Hiro Minamoto, thanking Zombie and pledging his services to the Demon Brigade, saying that Zombie’s tutelage had shown him the true path of light.
