FROM THE DESK OF... SOLOMON BENTLEY
James Edwards will be defending the World's Jr. Heavyweight title on 4/27 in Tokyo.
His opponent? One half of the new World Tag Team Champions... Falcon Hamada.
Of the five men to hold the World's Jr. title, none of them have been Japanese. ZENKI, Mitsuo Shimada, Daichi Kasumoto, Tokyo Zombie and Sen Oka have all failed to put a Japanese name in the title's history books. That failure is something that doesn't sit well with the Demon Brigade, who have nominated their newest member to be considered by the Competition Committee. Hamada only recently joined the nationalist unit, but has picked up wins alongside each of the three veteran members since then. The twenty seven year old may be the Demon Brigade's best stylistic match for James Edwards, as Hamada is 6-3-2 in MMA and utilizes his judo and sambo background to assist him in pro-wrestling.
We'll see if he's ready for the challenge on 4/27!
