Hiro enjoyed many opportunities during his time in Japan, being able to trade on his father's connections in order to establish himself. Through his training and his early career he had instilled in him a great sense of tradition and honor. He feels that he needs to live up to both his father's legacy and the opportunities that he has been given, and that is what drives him to be the best. Because of his upbringing, he will look to win the crowd's affection and so will always look to win clean wherever possible.

BRIEF HISTORY - Hiro is the son of Puroresu legend Isao Masaki, a multi time world Champion from the 1980s. Hiro appears to have inherited his father's love for the business, so it was inevitable that he would enter the business. He originally teamed with Kono Masaki believing him to be his brother, although it was later revealed that they are only half brothers and Kono is not the offspring of Isao Masaki. Isao disowned Kono, but showered Hiro with praise and ensured that he had a comfortable rise in Japanese wrestling.
Hiro has recently reunited with his half-brother under the tutelege of Jon Kellar, himself a former multi-time World Champion. At present, Hiro wants to rebuild the relationship with his brother and bring about the tag team supremacy that both seemed destined for.

SPORTSMANSHIP - Hiro feels a great need to live up to his father's legacy, and so will rarely (if ever) take any dishonorable action. This can sometimes be his downfall - he's too clean.
