2. Tomorrow League: Naoki Ojima [2] beat Shigeru Toyama [0] by pinfall in 9:23 after a double wrist hold knee strike.
3. Shinjiro Nakama, Hiro Masaki & Kono Masaki beat Sheik Spectre, Buster Allen & Balloon Yamazaki by pinfall (Nakama on Allen) in 12:20 with a backdrop suplex hold.
4. Hammerstein & James Edwards vs. GRIM & SHACHIMON went to a no contest in 21:51 when both teams were disqualified.
In the opening match, Katsuhiko "Genius" Himura scored what you could call an upset over Earth Warrior - surprising him with a flash backslide to pick up his first ever win! He told reporters after the match that he calculated Warrior's movements closely and saw the perfect opportunity to utilize his flash pin. Warrior shook his head, saying he needed to recycle some old tricks to stay alive in the League.
Naoki Ojima and Shigeru Toyama had an excellent back and forth match with "Starboy" showing off his lucha submissions, but Ojima staved off the hands of defeat and managed to hit his knee strike off a double wrist hold that Toyama initiated. Backstage, Toyama called it a lucky shot while Ojima was beaming ear to ear, happy to get off to a good start.
A lot of hype surrounded the Masaki brothers heading into the third match and they did not disappoint, impressing the Tokyo crowd with their skill. Buster Allen looked a bit more lethargic than in his last match, perhaps showing his age - and this proved to be the downfall for his team. Sheik Spectre used his boxing to try and even things up while Balloon Yamazaki threw his weight around as much as possible. Unfortunately, the most dominant champion in MAX Japan history - Shinjiro Nakama would finish Allen off with Fuji's Peak.
The former Burning Hammers and golden duo in MAX Japan, Unified World's Heavyweight Champion Hammerstein and World's Jr. Heavyweight Champion James Edwards brought a battle to the Demon Brigade tandem of GRIM & SHACHIMON, who were seconded by Falcon Hamada. Despite being the smallest fighter in the ring, Edwards drew upon his striking game to stick right in there and battered SHACHIMON and GRIM with kicks and elbows throughout the match. For every cheer the foreign fighters got, the Zealots howled back in support of their men and this made for a very heated match. Edwards felt the wrath of the Demon Brigade, being beaten on as tried desperately to make a tag to Hammerstein. Just when everyone thought he'd get there, GRIM misted him off the apron as Hamada distracted referee Shigeki Oka. They threw Edwards out to the floor and the three men stomped Edwards down, but the American Monster rose from his stupor and roared off the apron - pouncing everyone in sight! As both teams recovered, they continued fighting on the floor and ignored Oka's repeated orders to take it back inside the ring - leaving him no choice but to disqualify both sides! As the teams were separated, Tiger Mask Undead struck again! This time nailing Hammer from behind, then using the mandible claw on him while the rest of the Demon Brigade ganged up on Edwards. Sheik Spectre calmly walked out, barbed wire bat in hand... and put a match to it! Now sprinting, the flaming barbed wire bat was enough to chase off the Brigade. Edwards looked at the Arabian fighter as though he was nuts, but thanked him for his help nevertheless before they attended to Hammerstein.
