5. Hammerstein, James Edwards & Sheik Spectre beat GRIM, Tiger Mask Undead & Falcon Hamada by pinfall (Spectre on Hamada) in 24:36 after a Death Valley driver.
The Tomorrow League became a four way tie for first today as Shigeru Toyama submitted Katsuhiko Himura with a crossface chickenwing and the Earth Warrior caught Naoki Ojima by surprise with an inside cradle! Toyama was arrogant as ever in victory, saying he only regrets that it took eight minutes to put a young boy away. Earth Warrior and Naoki Ojima were very cordial backstage with Ojima congratulating him on the win. Warrior was pleased by this and invited Ojima to help him pick up trash along the ocean's shore sometime!
The Sons of Gold continue to shine! Today, the brother tandem faced their first true two on two test against the heavyweight pair of Umetaro Sakamoto and Balloon Yamazaki. The brothers struggled with Sakamoto initially, but found their way into a rhythm. Kono made the mistake of trying a sunset flip on Yamazaki, who delivered a hip bomb in response - crushing Kono with his three hundred and twenty five pounds! Hiro broke up the pin with a knee on the Balloon, then rolled Kono close enough to tag himself in. He scaled the top rope and abandoned his original plan, opting instead to nail an incoming Sakamoto with a missile dropkick! Yamazaki went for a lariat as Hiro got up, but he ducked and nailed a beautiful reverse Frankensteiner! With the heavyset fighter dumped on his head, Hiro Masaki made the cover and got the win for his team!
The Royal Road Champion Shinjiro Nakama picked up his tenth singles win in a row, besting Buster Allen in only five minutes with a German suplex hold. Arnold Cunningham got on the house microphone after the bout and told fans that Nakama would be the next World's Champion! The Mountain Boys roared in approval as Nakama flexed with his belt on!
The main event was a bloody affair to the surprise of no one. Senior referee Shigeki Oka was very lenient in his officiating, allowing the six men to brawl as they saw fit - even calling upon fellow referees, Ryusuke Ando and Yukio Kaimoto to assist him. Tiger Mask Undead and Hammerstein fought around the arena with the World's Champion trying desperately to unmask his foe and he came close, but the dog chain came into play and TMU cracked Hammerstein upside the head with it! GRIM and James Edwards gave a good showcase of their battle on 5/12, spending a good chunk of the bout squaring off. GRIM battled Edwards to the mat, using his weight - but Edwards drove 12-6 elbows into his skull to get himself back to his feet. A Violent Gospel was in mind, but the Jr. Heavyweight Champion was misted! Fortunately for Sheik Spectre, his efforts weren't thwarted - he survived an onslaught from Hamada and hoisted him onto his shoulders - driving him through a ringside table with a Death Valley driver before rolling him inside the ring for the three. It took all three referees and the young tigers plus some extra security to help break things up after the bell, leaving President Tatsuki Banno to wonder what should be done.
