A pretty paint by numbers show in Hyogo ahead of the 5/18 show in Osaka.
Naoki Ojima and Shigeru Toyama tied up a few times, but nothing that would allow Ojima to seek out proper revenge. Toyama used his experience edge to frustrate Ojima some, slipping out of holds easily until Ojima actually trapped him in a cross armbreaker. Balloon Yamazaki came charging in and dropped his weight on Ojima AGAIN (harkening back to 4/27) to save his partner, but Sakamoto would avenge his partner by picking up the 325lbs fighter and delivering a Northern lights suplex and holding it in a bridge for the win. After the match, Ojima said win or lose against Nakama that he wants Toyama in a singles match and accused him of slashing his tires! Toyama laughed at the accusation, saying he doesn't waste his time on that kinda thing - and asked if Ojima knew how to change a tire!
Singles win eleven for Shinjiro Nakama, which was echoed by Arnold Cunningham after the match. He praised his client, saying they'll have to retire the Royal Road title after he wins the World's title because no one will be able to hold a candle to the Mountain! Kono Masaki, alone on this occasion as his brother is elsewhere today, put up a strong fight with Nakama but missed his ripcord lariat and left himself wide open for the Mountain's devastating German suplex hold.
The Demon Brigade scored another win over the Foreign Army as Falcon Hamada bounced back from his loss to the World's Heavyweight Champion by submitting the 6'1" / 237lbs Buster Allen with an anaconda vise. The Brigade tried to attack Edwards' leg after the match, continuing GRIM's work from 5/12, but Spectre rushed in the ring with the barbed wire bat and swung for the fences - nearly upending SHACHIMON with it. To his credit, Edwards nearly scored the win by successfully hitting the Foxfire on GRIM, but got pulled from the ring by Hamada. After the Brigade had left, Chris Ravenna appeared on the screen and told Edwards he needs to stop worrying about the Demon Brigade... because he's coming to get his title back in Osaka!
