STAGE NAME – "Outlaw" Jun Vegas
REAL NAME – Jun Kono
NICKNAME(s) – Outlaw, Flashy Money Man, Ace of Aces.
DATE OF BIRTH – July 6th, 1985
PLACE OF BIRTH – Born Las Vegas, Nevada. Resides in Osaka, Japan
FIGHTING OUT OF - Osaka, Japan
HEIGHT and WEIGHT – 6'1" / 255 lbs.
DEBUT YEAR – 2009
BIOGRAPHY – American-born Jun Kono lived only a couple years before he and his parents moved back to Japan for the betterment of their son's education. As a kid, he was always taken in with the sport of professional wrestling and always wanted to take part, while also having an obsession with Western/American culture.
After his eighteenth birthday, Jun decided to enroll in several schools and due to his natural size, he was sought after by many. When signing with KYOTO PRO, he made a career quickly as a natural in their deathmatch division able to fight and hold his own against the top stars. Following his first two years, he was allowed to go on excursion, but in a shocking move, was given his release so he could travel indefinitely.
Now out on his own, Jun returned to the States for the first time since his birth and resided there for a number of years. He spent seven years in the US becoming a cult icon. Patterning his style after famous legendary brawler "Wild" Winston Shoot, Jun became "Outlaw" Jun Vegas and resided in the States, getting bookings all over North America for his wild and eccentric style.
Eventually, the time came where Vegas decided to return to Japan. And for the first time, fully signed with an organization in MAX-JAPAN. Can the cult following of "Outlaw" Jun Vegas lead to success in Japan on a major stage as opposed to the popular indies that he frequents? Or is the wild heart of Jun too much to tame?
Only one way to find out!
PAST INJURIES – Dislocated elbow, broken jaw, various scrapes, bumps, bruises from his style.

Physical Info
EQUIPMENT/APPEARANCE – Tall, stout frame (think young Genichiro Tenryu). Long, black hair. Slightly tanned complexion. His back is littered with scars from prior deathmatch participation in his first few years wrestling. White underwear-style trunks with the four major card suits across the front and back (Diamond, club, heart, ace). Black elbow pads, brown furry boots. White taped fists.
WALKOUT ATTIRE – Extra large fur coat and white cowboy hat. Because he can.
CASUAL ATTIRE – Fancy white designer suits, fur coats, sunglasses indoors, white cowboy hat. Very flamboyant if you haven’t guessed already.
WALKOUT THEME – "Desperado" by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
WALKOUT DESCRIPTION –The music kicks in and after the big riffs hit at twenty seconds, Vegas erupts from the curtains and stretches his arms, playing to the crowd with The Eye Candy behind him rooting him on. He tips his hat to the crowd and heads towards the ring with intent to fight someone. If he gets streamers, he’ll stand on the turnbuckle and spin his coat quickly, trying to catch as many streamers as he can
Fighting Info
FIGHTING STYLE – flashy Smashmouth brawler. Inspired by a lot of old Memphis-style wrestling. Imagine a giant version of NJPW'S Gedo/Jado mixed in with some (okay, a lot of) Genichiro Tenryu and a lot of Las Vegas-style flash.
SPORTSMANSHIP – Despite his roughneck style, he is actually quite friendly until the bell rings. He will shake hands before and after matches.
FINISHING MOVES –
1) Hold 'Em (Full Nelson/Camel Clutch hybrid)
2) Fold 'Em (Fire Thunder Driver)
SIGNATURE MOVES –
1) The Flop (Jumping Senton with theatrics - he’ll stop, yell out "begasu ni betto!" and land the Senton)
2) BUST! (Tenryu's GUH Punch)
3) Straight Flush (DDT to hanging opponent)
4) The Big Slick (Flying Back Elbow Drop - climbs up ropes like a moonsault, falls backward with Elbow Drop)
5) Viva Las Clutch! (Gedo Clutch - flash pin for quick wins and typically used in the (pun intended) clutch)
STANDARD MOVES –
1) Crossface punches
2) Headbutts
3) Forehand Chops
4) Low Enzuigiri
5) Running Corner Back Elbow
6) Chop/Punch combo (Tenryu-style)
7) German Suplex
8) Powerslam
9) Running Shoot Kick to back/side
10) Reverse STO
11) Jackpot (Machine gun chops)
12) Running Bulldog
13) Kesagiri Chop
14) Seated Double Chickenwing
15) Hangman's Neckbreaker
MANAGER INFO: The Eye Candy! (their group name)
Names: Yuu and Yuki Mizuka
Nickname: The Hot Ones!
Height: 5’5”
Weight: Ladies don’t tell, stupid.
Alignment: Cheerleader faces
Hometown: Queens, New York.
Manager description: Yuu and Yuki may be referred to as The Eye Candy but are actually quite smart and good friends of Jun who have recently taken modeling jobs abroad that (pure coincidence!) happen to reside in Japan, hence why they are along. Both speak fluent English. Serving a role akin The Boys to Jun Vegas’ Dalton Castle, they are there firmly for cheerleading and moral support (less the human furniture part.)
Both are also trained wrestlers and though the culture of Japanese wrestling is different than America (see: less run-ins/shenanigans and whatnot), they are capable of defending themselves, should another wrestler’s second ever get handsy with them or try anything with Jun, they will fight for him. Likewise, Jun is very protective of the girls and in the right situation, that can be to his detriment.
