Inhale...
...Exhale
He was sitting on the sofa, looking at the TV, smoking his cigarette.
White Noise!
That was all what was coming from the TV.
Yet, he was watching an entire blockbuster movie, on that same TV.
It was his life.
In the Ring
And
Out of it.
The fights, the glory, the exhilarating moments of his career.
His fights against the disturbed “ Sickle” and the fights against a dozen other opponents, dead or alive in this very moment , those fights made a legend out of him.
A hall of Famer!
His name was written in gold on the pages of HCW´s history. And even if HCW was long no more, something’s are there to stay. Forever!
Yet, it was a new era in wrestling..
..Names like Frank Merrit, Caleb Hart or even John Raide, meant nothing anymore.
Not that they knew him.
Not that he had even ever met them.
They were long gone even when he was making a name for himself, figures what they are now, more than a decade later.
What it meant, was that even if something’s are here to stay and make history, they are just residing in the sub consciousness of the stink normal wrestling fan.
People just live for the moment.
Even if history is there to stand as a pillar for the future, people just see what’s here and now .
And all he could see, here and now, were just a plethora of generic fighters. One more ordinary than the other…
It was that time again
Time
To stand up
And
Fight!
Everything has a beginning and an end…
..It was the beginning of the end of an old era
And the end of the beginning of mediocrity.
No more would there be genericus homunculus running in the ring, running and gunning for the top prize in all the wrestling federations out there, while being boring and unskilled at the same time..
..not if he, Eligoor Oslund, had something to do with it.
It was that time again
Time for a Fight!
Inhale…
…Exhale
Fighter
Warrior
Champion!
Eligoor Oslund
He stood up, a massive man, heading for the door.
It was time to make a few phone calls
It was the end of an era
And
The beginning of a new Chapter..
Rebirth!
