BLOCK A
GRIM [2] vs. Romeo Jackson [0]
1 Fall - 30 Minute Time Limit
1 Fall - 30 Minute Time Limit
The King of the Dead picked up his second win of the tournament, making quick work of rookie Romeo Jackson. RJ attacked GRIM before the bell and actually managed to beat him down to his hands and knees, but then got cocky and that turned everything upside down. GRIM hit him with chop after chop, backing him from one end of the ring to the other... then he backed up, seemingly giving Jackson room to escape. Only to superkick him. One tombstone piledriver later and GRIM had four points.
BLOCK B
Chris Ravenna [2] vs. Kono Masaki [0]
1 Fall - 30 Minute Time Limit
Chris Ravenna [2] vs. Kono Masaki [0]
1 Fall - 30 Minute Time Limit
The World's Jr. Heavyweight Champion went a step further in his crusade to win the J1 as a Jr. Heavyweight, defeating Kono Masaki. Though Masaki gave him a war from bell to bell, Ravenna was happy to return every strike given to him. By the end of the twelve minute match, they were both bloodied up at the mouth and nose. Ravenna struck with the Artikulo Uno and scored the win!
A training montage was shown for both Unified World's Champion Hammerstein and challenger Shinjiro Nakama. Both men got enormous pops and the special program, highlighting their upcoming title fight on 6/14 sold out before the night was over!
BLOCK B
AJ Knight [2] vs. Hiro Masaki [0]
1 Fall - 30 Minute Time Limit
AJ Knight [2] vs. Hiro Masaki [0]
1 Fall - 30 Minute Time Limit
The Millennial Knight's win in the co-main event ensured that it would be he and Ravenna battling for the number one spot in their match on 6/12. AJ had some trouble dealing with Hiro's high-flying abilities in the first few minutes of the match, nearly falling victim to an impressive cartwheel into a moonsault. After the kickout, Hiroyuki caught him with a roundhouse kick that sent AJ wobbling into the ropes. Masaki kicked him again and laid him into position, then pointed to the sky. He stepped out onto the apron, leapt onto the top rope and tried to 450 back into the ring but got nothing but mat. AJ grabbed him up, DDT'd him into the mat and scored the three!
BLOCK A
Naoki Ojima [2] vs. Billy Danielson [0]
1 Fall - 30 Minute Time Limit
Naoki Ojima [2] vs. Billy Danielson [0]
1 Fall - 30 Minute Time Limit
Naoki Ojima came out looking pretty good, but Billy Danielson still accused him of skipping leg day. Ojima imitated Danielson hobbling around after his Day 1 match with GRIM, which actually cracked Billy up a bit. Nevertheless, when the bell sounded, Billy was slow to start. Ojima tried to target the leg, working a much more ground based, submission and strike style. Danielson did his best to avoid any attacks on his legs and tried to use power strikes on the ground to beat up Ojima. Late in the match, Ojima tried to go for a corner cross body splash and got nothing but turnbuckles... and then turned around into a cutter! Thinning the Herd as Danielson calls it! That was enough to secure the win and give Billy his first two points.
