DATE OF BIRTH – August 26, 1994
PLACE OF BIRTH – Dallas, TX
FIGHTING OUT OF – Miami, FL
HEIGHT and WEIGHT – 5 foot 10 // 243 pounds
DEBUT YEAR – 2018
BIOGRAPHY –
The first 18 years of Rafa Whatley’s life was spent successfully becoming a Pro Football player. He was a standout running back from the Pee Wee leagues up through his stint at University of Miami. Rafa was drafted in 2016 and had an amazing rookie year as a starting half back. Whatley’s fortunes shifted dramatically in early 2017, when he was suspended by The Commissioner of Pro Football under suspicion of sports betting. In July of 2017, Whatley was banned from Pro Football for life by the Commissioner at the end of the investigation. Rafa Whatley has since become a lightning rod, drawing criticism from many high-profile Americans included President Donald Trump. Whatley’s PR team tried to pivot quickly, using the steam and infamy to launch a Rafa clothing brand that had been yet to gain any traction. Rafa and his team also suddenly decided to begin training for a career in strong style pro wrestling. After a mere 10 months of learning the ropes, Whatley has dedicated himself to turn pro… and will debut in Lion’s Road.

CONTRACT or FREELANCE? - Freelance
ALIGNMENT – Heel
ALLIES – his agent Marion Payett
Physical Info
WALKOUT ATTIRE –
One of a collection of designer jackets… sometimes leather, sometimes jean but always decked out and expensive. He’ll also wear sunglasses down to the ring.
CASUAL ATTIRE –
Designer jeans, wife-beater, a designer jacket, bedazzled chains, a random sports team hats or his brand’s “RAFA” hat.
WALKOUT THEME – “Send It Up” by Kanye West
Fighting Info
FIGHTING STYLE –
Like a bull in a hammer shop. As a rookie, expect Rafa Whatley to “botch” many traditional wrestling moves and resort to using straight physicality when the going gets tough. A world class athlete, few can hang with him when he begins dominating though. Mental mistakes and an untested “chin” may be his weakness.
SPORTSMANSHIP –
Growing up playing football, Rafa always practiced good sportsmanship and wanted everyone to like him. Now that he has become an outcast hated by millions of football fans, those goals were thrown out the window. Whatley has adapted a “f—k you’ attitude to the world… including his future opponents at Lion’s Road, maybe even the referees and management. Right now, he just conducts himself as a rookie; a man who has never even seen the environment he is about to be dropped into.
FINISHING MOVES –
-Black Flag (Military press falling into a spinebuster)
-Death Valley Driver
SIGNATURE MOVES –
-Dirty forearm to the face
-Running spear, sometimes more of a tackle
-Over the top rope dive (As a big man it’s rare but occasionally he’ll bust out an incredibly awkward and dangerous looking dive, usually at great expense to himself and his opponent)
STANDARD MOVES –
-Blows: Punches, elbows, clubbing blows, axe handles, a headbutt or two
-Wrestling moves: Basic takedowns, uses ground and pound effectively
-Submissions: very basic, headlocks, illegal chokes to a 4 count
-Powerslams: traditional, fallaway slam, running powerslam
